“I don’t think you’re right. I believe it was full acquittal (which isn’t what I believe is best) because the instruction the judge gave was the reasonable doubt instruction. Had it been “not guilty-diminished capacity” and they were stuck on “diminished capacity” then he would’ve read the instruction on “diminished…”
